Allah SWT directly commands us to perform kurban, “So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone].” (QS: Al-Kautsar verse 2).
Performing kurban also holds a noble virtue in the sight of Allah SWT. The animal sacrificed will come on the Day of Judgment with its horns, its hair, and its hooves. The blood of that animal reaches Allah before it even drops to the ground.
Ironically, however, kurban often becomes a moment for livestock sellers to seek excessive profit. Many sell hewan kurban at unreasonable prices, making it difficult for the mudhohi to perform their sacrifice. Besides the high costs, there are also several requirements that must be met when choosing the animal to be sacrificed.
Based on these circumstances, YBM BRILiaN has taken action to provide a solution for the community. The kurban program does not only focus on distributing daging kurban to the underprivileged, but YBM BRILiaN also plays a role as a breeder through its BRILiaN FARM. Consequently, the selling price of the animals does not burden the pekurban, while still maintaining the highest standards for hewan kurban.
