CILEGON — The YBM BRILiaN Banten Regional Office (RO), in collaboration with PT BRI Asuransi Indonesia (BRI Insurance), held the Stunting Prevention Program on Tuesday (Nov. 3).

This program is part of a joint effort to implement BRI Insurance’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) in collaboration with YBM BRILiaN. Activities were carried out in two areas: Deringo Village, Citangkil Subdistrict, Cilegon City; and Menes Subdistrict, Pandeglang Regency, Banten.

The event was attended by the Head of Deringo Village, Ubay Uswadi, S.E., the Head of Menes Subdistrict, Sudarmana, S.I.P., as well as local health educators and Integrated Service Post (Posyandu) cadres. The program targeted families with children at risk of stunting in both areas.

Distribution of Nutritious Food Assistance for 30 Days
A total of 60 beneficiaries received nutritious food assistance. Each area received an allocation for 30 beneficiaries. The assistance was provided continuously for 30 days to help meet the nutritional needs of children during their growth period.

This program reflects YBM BRILiaN and BRI Insurance’s commitment to improving children’s health. In addition to addressing nutritional needs, the program also emphasizes the family’s role in supporting children’s growth and development.

Complementing the Intervention with Family Support

In addition to distributing nutritious food, this program also includes regular support sessions over 30 days. YBM BRILiaN and BRI Insurance collaborated with health educators and Posyandu volunteers to support the mothers and families of the beneficiaries.

This support includes education on balanced nutrition, healthy eating habits, environmental hygiene, and parenting practices that support children’s growth and development. The health educators and Posyandu volunteers also help monitor the children’s condition throughout the program.

The benefits of this program are felt directly by the recipients. Mrs. Hani, one of the beneficiaries from Menes Subdistrict, Pandeglang Regency, expressed her gratitude for the support provided.

“Alhamdulillah, we are very grateful and thank BRI Insurance for the nutritious food assistance provided to our children. This assistance is very beneficial for our families, especially in helping meet our children’s nutritional needs,” she said.

A similar sentiment was shared by Mrs. Wasitoh, a beneficiary from Deringo Village, Cilegon City. According to her, this program not only provides food assistance but also knowledge about children’s health.

“Alhamdulillah, we feel greatly assisted by BRI Insurance’s Stunting Prevention Program. In addition to receiving nutritious food assistance for 30 days, we also receive guidance and knowledge about the importance of maintaining children’s nutrition and health,” she said.

Through this collaboration, YBM BRILiaN supports BRI Insurance’s TJSL program as part of the BRI Group’s social commitment to benefit the community. This synergy exemplifies the use of BRI employees’ zakat to expand the reach of social programs, including efforts to prevent stunting and improve children’s health.
