YBM BRILiaN Holds Third-Year Monitoring and Mentoring for the Deli Serdang Family Strengthening Program

DELI SERDANG — The YBM BRILiaN Regional Office (RO) in Medan held a monitoring and mentoring activity for the Family Strengthening Program at the Sentra Keluarga Sejahtera in Tengah Village, Pantai Labu Subdistrict, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, on Tuesday (August 11). Now in its third year, this assistance program focuses on ensuring the development of 20 right holder families in terms of their economic well-being, children’s education, and spiritual guidance.

Promoting Economic Self-Reliance Through Livestock and Waste Utilization

YBM BRILiaN RO Medan, represented by Regional Supervisor Aidil Ridho and Facilitator Ali Sahniur, visited the business sites of the program participants in person. The team reviewed the progress of the cattle and sheep assistance program while also observing the residents’ innovations in processing livestock waste into commercial fertilizer to supplement their income. One of the right holders, Mrs. Yanti, expressed her gratitude for this support:

“We continue to learn from what we have. We raise our livestock, and we also make use of the waste. If we can generate extra income for our families, we are certainly grateful.”

Strengthening Children’s Access to Education and Families’ Basic Needs

In addition to economic empowerment, this monitoring activity followed up on the documentation process for educational scholarship recipients—children from the families under our care. YBM BRILiaN RO Medan also distributed Supplementary Food Packages (PMT) and assessed the condition of residents’ housing to identify future assistance needs. Through this comprehensive intervention, YBM BRILiaN is committed to continuing to support the families under its care so they can achieve economic and social independence.
