Rapid Response to the Penjaringan Fire: YBM BRILiaN Jakarta 1 Distributes Survival Kits to Affected Residents
JAKARTA — The fire that struck the Jalan Dermaga Ujung area in Penjaringan, Pluit, North Jakarta, on August 26, 2026, had a significant impact on the community. A total of 60 homes were reported to have burned down, affecting approximately 180 households—or more than 720 residents—on Wednesday (August 26).

In response to the situation, the YBM BRILiaN Regional Office (RO) Jakarta 1 took action to provide aid to the residents by distributing 180 survival kits to help meet the families’ basic needs during the emergency on Friday (August 28).
180 Packages for Affected Families
The distributed survival kits had a total value of Rp39,060,000. The packages contained various basic necessities, including sarongs, flip-flops, T-shirts, and towels that could be used immediately by the affected residents.
YBM BRILiaN RO Jakarta 1 Education Facilitator Ibadh Dwi Satyo, along with Family Strengthening Facilitator Fajar Yulianto, were present to oversee the distribution process to residents of Jalan Dermaga Ujung.
The distribution of aid proceeded in an orderly manner. Affected residents took turns receiving the packages so that the aid could be distributed smoothly to the target families.

The fire disaster has left hundreds of families without homes and deprived them of various daily necessities. Under these circumstances, access to basic supplies is crucial to help the community navigate this emergency.
The distribution of 180 survival kits is one of YBM BRILiaN’s humanitarian responses aimed at alleviating residents’ needs in the aftermath of the disaster.
