Cultivating Compassion: YBM BRILiaN Manado Distributes Ramadan Gifts to Hundreds

MANADO – Embracing the glory of the holy month, YBM BRILiaN Regional Office Manado, alongside the dedicated Insan BRILiaN (BRI employees), launched a major humanitarian initiative titled “Berbagi Bingkisan Ramadhan” (Sharing Ramadan Gifts) and “Kado Ramadhan Yatim” (Ramadan Gifts for Orphans). Held at the 7th Floor Hall of the BRI Regional Office Manado on Thursday (05/03), the event served as a powerful symbol of unity in spreading happiness to those in need.

YBM BRILiaN strategically chose the regional headquarters as the venue to foster a sense of togetherness among all tiers of employees and partners. Through this collective effort, aid totaling IDR 84,300,000 was directly distributed to 314 beneficiaries. These recipients included essential support staff, retirees, and children from various orphanages throughout Manado.

In an atmosphere filled with warmth and kinship, the team distributed staple food packages, monetary assistance, and nutritious meals for breaking the fast. The presence of the Regional CEO of BRI RO Manado, Mrs. Elizabeth Primasari, provided a significant boost of encouragement to the organizing committee and the beneficiaries attending from the Manado Raya area, including branches from KC Boulevard, KC Manado, and the Regional Office.

The proceedings were conducted with solemnity, beginning with zikir (devotional remembrance) and collective doa (prayers), followed by a soul-soothing tausiyah (religious lecture). A particularly moving moment occurred when Mrs. Elizabeth Primasari shared a personal message of motivation with 40 representatives of the yatim (orphaned children).

“We pray that all of you will achieve great success in the future. If we believe that God always accompanies a righteous path, then success surely awaits at the end of the journey. May what we do today become a deed of kindness that brings blessings to us all,” said Mrs. Elizabeth Primasari, RCEO of BRI Region 16 Manado, in her remarks.

In harmony with those inspiring words, the event continued with a communal Iftar (breaking of the fast) to strengthen the bonds of silaturahmi (communal ties). The gathering concluded with the performance of the Tarawih prayer (special nightly prayers during Ramadhan) in congregation, creating a beautiful harmony of worship in the heart of Manado.

This initiative is an enhancement of YBM BRILiaN’s routine food package program. The organization remains committed to ensuring that every Ramadhan serves as a turning point for improving the welfare of the extended BRI family and the surrounding community.
