From Healthcare Services to Community Kitchens, YBM BRILiaN Continues to Support Earthquake Survivors in NTT

— As the community continues to recover from the earthquake that struck East Nusa Tenggara, the need for basic services remains a priority. YBM BRILiaN continued its disaster response efforts by providing healthcare services, distributing aid to vulnerable groups, and operating a community kitchen for affected residents.

On Tuesday (August 25), YBM BRILiaN provided healthcare services to residents in Pering Inahasa Village, Satarpunda Barat Village, Lambaleda Utara Subdistrict, East Manggarai Regency.

A total of 99 patients received examinations and treatment from the medical team. Similar services were also provided in Tengkuromot Hamlet, Mata Air Subdistrict, Reo Subdistrict, Manggarai Regency. At this location, 60 patients received medical care.

Various health issues were addressed during the service, ranging from coughs and colds, upper respiratory tract infections, skin diseases, and muscle aches to trauma.

Ensuring Basic Needs Are Met

YBM BRILiaN’s response extends beyond healthcare services. In Paci Panda Hamlet, Pota Village, Sambi Rampas Subdistrict, East Manggarai Regency, a community kitchen that has been operating since August 19 continues to serve the affected community.

On August 25, the team once again prepared 200 servings of ready-to-eat meals. With this addition, the total number of meals prepared by the community kitchen since it first began operations has reached 1,400 servings.

The community kitchen is one of the ways YBM BRILiaN supports the community in meeting their food needs during the emergency response period. Amid a situation that has not yet fully recovered, the availability of ready-to-eat meals helps alleviate the daily needs of affected residents.

In addition, YBM BRILiaN is also paying special attention to vulnerable groups, particularly infants and children. A total of 17 baby kits have been distributed through the Reo Post Office to help meet the needs of infants in the aftermath of the disaster.
