YBM BRILiaN RO Bandar Lampung Delivers Post-Fire Recovery Aid in West Lampung

WEST LAMPUNG – Joy and emotion were evident on the faces of the students as they received aid on Thursday (August 6). Located at the Sunan Bonang Islamic Boarding School in Pekon Padang Cahya, Balik Bukit Subdistrict, West Lampung Regency, the extended family of the YBM BRILiaN Regional Office (RO) in Bandar Lampung worked together to distribute post-fire recovery aid to the beneficiaries.
This Social & Humanitarian initiative was carried out as an expression of YBM BRILiaN’s compassion and rapid response to the disaster that struck the religious educational facility. The distribution of aid at the Sunan Bonang Islamic Boarding School was prompted by the emergency situation following the fire, which destroyed the students’ belongings and supplies. This disaster affected 20 resident students and 150 non-resident students who lost their daily learning resources. Through this “Support Recovery” initiative, YBM BRILiaN provided 300 bags of cement, 20 sets of beds with mattresses, 40 copies of the Qur’an, 20 Iqro’ books, 20 sets of notebooks, 20 sarongs, 72 cans of rendang, and usable clothing. It is hoped that this aid will reignite the hope and enthusiasm of the students to resume their studies.
Collaboration Between BRI Management and YBM BRILiaN Restores Hope for Students
The in-person aid handover ceremony was attended by the Acting Branch Manager (PGS) of BRI Liwa, Mr. Amir Mudaris, in his capacity as the Executive Board Member of YBM BRILiaN, and Ms. Solihah, the Operational Support Supervisor (SPO) at the BRI Liwa Branch.

The distribution of building materials and basic necessities for the students proceeded smoothly. This structured intervention builds on a previous emergency response effort that had already distributed 10 rolls of prayer mats, usable clothing, and 20 survival kits. The delivery of 300 sacks of cement and new bedding is expected to accelerate the physical renovation of the boarding school, allowing the students’ Quran recitation and study activities to resume as before.
“We are very grateful for the concern and assistance provided. This aid means a great deal to us and the students as we recover from the fire. May this assistance serve as a charitable act and bring benefits to all those who have helped,” said a representative of the Sunan Bonang Islamic Boarding School with deep emotion.
Through this disaster response and recovery program, YBM BRILiaN RO Bandar Lampung continues to demonstrate its commitment to being there for communities in need. The organization hopes that every bit of aid distributed from the zakat contributions of BRI employees and donors will help ease the burden on the boarding school’s administrators and restore happiness to the students.
