Following the Example of the Prophet’s Journey: 24 Bright Scholarship Recipients Attend a Study Session on the Prophet’s Biography
JAKARTA — The YBM BRILiaN Jakarta 1 Regional Office (RO) has once again strengthened spiritual guidance for Bright Scholarship recipients through a study session on the Sirah Nabawiyyah, held online on Monday (August 24).

The event was attended by 24 Bright Scholarship awardees from Batch 10 at Jakarta State University (UNJ) and Batch 11 at the University of Indonesia (UI). Ustadz Dzul Fahmi Kasto served as the guest speaker for the session, which took place via Zoom Meeting.
An online format was chosen because the awardees are located in different dormitories and on different campuses. With this format, participants from UNJ and UI were still able to effectively participate in the joint program together without being hindered by distance.
Reflecting on the Sirah During the Prophet’s Birthday
The study of the Sirah Nabawiyyah is part of the regular training agenda for Bright Scholarship recipients. In this session, the topic of the Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) life journey and exemplary character was discussed in conjunction with the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday.
Through this study, participants were encouraged not only to learn about the life journey of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as part of Islamic history but also to draw relevant lessons from his exemplary character for their lives as students.
The event proceeded smoothly and served as a space for the scholarship recipients to strengthen their spiritual lives amidst their respective academic commitments.
Mentoring That Goes Beyond Educational Support

The Bright Scholarship does more than simply provide support for students’ continued education. Regular mentoring is also a vital part of the development process for scholarship recipients, helping them grow into a generation with both strong academic capabilities and character.
Through this Sirah Nabawiyyah mentoring program, YBM BRILiaN RO Jakarta 1 hopes that the awardees will be able to embrace the exemplary values of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and apply them in their daily lives—both on campus and when they eventually take on broader roles in society.
