SIDOARJO — The YBM BRILiaN Surabaya Regional Office (RO) distributed business capital assistance for Etawa dairy goat farming on Monday (Oct. 12). The program’s distribution took place in Keboharan, Krian Subdistrict, Sidoarjo Regency.

Keboharan was chosen as the location due to its strategic potential to support the goat milk marketing chain. The event was attended by the program’s daily manager and all members of the beneficiary group.

The assistance package included the construction of pens, the provision of nine Etawa goats, the provision of sales facilities, and business coaching. This program aims to ensure a self-sustaining supply of pure Etawa goat milk, particularly in the Krian area.

Production Cycle and Business Sustainability

In less than three months, three female breeding goats have given birth to five kids. The farmers’ group plans to use the proceeds from selling these kids to repurchase female goats ready for milking.

This production cycle is designed to ensure a continuous, uninterrupted daily milk harvest. Group members consistently implement this management system under the guidance of the field team.

Appreciation for the Facilitator and Business Goals

Program facilitator Wiwit Trisningati expressed her optimism regarding the progress of the Keboharan goat farmers’ group.

“Thank you, YBM BRILiaN. Hopefully, through this program, the economic well-being of every group member can improve, and we hope to become the primary supplier in the Keboharan, Krian area,” she said.
