PALANGKA RAYA — In response to the thick haze caused by ongoing forest and land fires, the YBM BRILiaN Regional Office (RO) in Banjarmasin took action to distribute emergency health aid. The aid distribution took place in the vicinity of the BRI Palangka Raya Branch Office (BO) on Monday (10/26).

This humanitarian effort was attended by the Branch Office Head (BOH) of BRI’s Palangka Raya Branch, Defri Gunawan, members of the BRILiaN team, and the beneficiaries.

Strengthening Health Protection Against Haze Exposure

The deteriorating air quality caused by widespread hotspots prompted YBM BRILiaN to take concrete steps to minimize the risk of respiratory problems among the community.

A total of 300 “healthy kits”—containing masks, vitamin supplements, and honey—were distributed to local residents who spend time outdoors. The distribution took place in an orderly manner and is expected to help minimize the adverse effects of prolonged exposure to haze.

Commitment to Humanitarian Aid and Sustainability
This act of compassion underscores the institution’s full attention to the forest and land fires that continue to plague and threaten public health in various regions across Indonesia.

“This aid represents BRI’s commitment, through YBM BRILiaN, to be present in the community, particularly in addressing the impacts of forest and land fires that have the potential to disrupt health and daily activities,” said Defri Gunawan, BRI Branch Manager in Palangka Raya.

The forest and land fire conditions over the past few months certainly require a helping hand and collective concern so that the health impacts felt by residents can be minimized.

YBM BRILiaN invites people from all walks of life to donate generously through memberimakna.id to support disaster response efforts and the ongoing distribution of health aid in various affected areas.

May this assistance help safeguard residents’ health during the emergency response period, and may our shared hope be realized that the forest and land fires in various regions of Indonesia can be swiftly resolved and brought to an end.
