YBM BRILiaN Launches Its First WASH Program in Kuantan Singingi to Provide Access to Clean Water

KUANTAN SINGINGI – The YBM BRILiaN Regional Office (RO) in Pekanbaru, through the YBM BRILiaN BRI Teluk Kuantan Branch, officially launched the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Program on Wednesday (August 12). The program launch took place at the Nur Muhammad Mosque in Sungai Jering Village, Kuantan Tengah Subdistrict, Kuantan Singingi Regency. YBM BRILiaN distributed aid worth IDR 277.6M to address the challenge of a crisis in access to quality clean water in the surrounding community.

Sanitation and Clean Water Solutions for 500 Beneficiaries

YBM BRILiaN provided a comprehensive package of sanitation and clean water facilities, including the drilling of a well, the construction of a water tower, a wudu station, and proper toilet facilities.

These facilities serve more than 500 right holders, including mosque congregants and nearby residents. The WASH facilities are expected not only to enhance the comfort of worship but also to sustainably improve the environmental health of the Sungai Jering community.

Appreciation from the Local Government and YBM BRILiaN’s Commitment to Philanthropy

The inauguration ceremony brought together local government officials and community figures, such as Dr. Trian Zulhadi, S.E., M.Ec. (Expert Staff representing the Act. Regent of Kuantan Singingi), H. Herizon, S.Pd.SD., M.M. (Head of Education Agency / Dinas Pendidikan), Izmayudi Hendri (Head of Kesra Section at Kuansing Regional Secretariat), and H. Zafnil Helmi, M.Si. (Chairman of Nur Muhammad Mosque).

On this occasion, Dr. Trian Zulhadi expressed his appreciation:

“Thank you to YBM BRILiaN for paying attention to the community through this WASH program. Hopefully, the facilities provided can be utilized and maintained properly so that they will provide long-term benefits.”

The launch of this first WASH program in Kuantan Singingi also reaffirms YBM BRILiaN’s commitment to continuously expand its efforts to meet the basic needs of the community at places of worship and other public facilities.
