Celebrating Ramadan with Compassion: YBM BRILiaN Malang Hosts Heartwarming Iftar for Orphaned Children

MALANG — The warm spirit of Ramadan took on a special meaning at Lafayette Coffee & Eatery in Malang City on Monday, February 24, 2026. Laughter and bright smiles filled the room as 50 orphaned children gathered for a communal iftar (breaking of the fast) and charity distribution event. This meaningful initiative was organized by YBM BRILiaN Regional Office Malang in collaboration with Majelis Taklim Nurhasanah through the “Berbagi Kado Lebaran Yatim” (Sharing Eid Gifts for Orphans) program.

The event commenced with opening remarks and greetings from the organizers. The atmosphere grew even more lively when Kak Bagus delivered an engaging and cheerful storytelling session, eliciting hearty laughter from the children. Following shared prayers, all participants enjoyed the iftar meal together before donations were distributed directly to the children.

Mrs. Yatik, Chairperson of Majelis Taklim Nurhasanah, expressed her appreciation for the synergy formed through this collaboration. “Thank you to YBM BRILiaN for this partnership. We hope this cooperation continues and brings broader benefits to the community,” she stated.

One of the beneficiary children shared a touching impression: “Thank you, Kak; this is my first time here. The place is nice, and the food was delicious,” he said with a broad smile.
