Malang — Ramadan Smiles Brighten Orphans’ Faces as YBM BRILiaN Distributes Eid Gifts

Malang — Tearful smiles lit the faces of orphaned children as the Islamic year 1447 H entered its holiest month at Menara BRI Malang on Tuesday, 25 February 2026. In a joint Qur’anic study and iftar (fast-breaking) hosted by BRI Regional 13 Malang, YBM BRILiaN handed out “Eid Gift Packages” to orphans and the underprivileged, translating social concern into tangible assistance.
A total of 50 children—25 from the Abdul Kadir Kurnia Orphanage and 25 from the Mambaul Hikmah Boarding House—received new clothes and pocket money. During a symbolic hand-over, four youngsters stepped forward to represent all beneficiaries, receiving their parcels directly from company executives.
The program opened with a traditional Islamic percussion performance by the Sabilu Taubah troupe, followed by the recitation of Qur’anic verses by an Insan BRILiaN staff member from Regional Office 13. Regional CEO BRI Region 13 Malang, Arie Wibowo, emphasized that the initiative was far more than a seasonal formality.
“This is not merely a social outreach event,” he stated. “It is our ongoing commitment to walk side by side with YBM BRILiaN in channeling zakat, infaq, and sadaqah so that they create real impact for those in need, especially orphaned children.”
An Islamic sermon delivered by Islamic scholar Gus Iqdam reinforced the message, urging attendees to widen the circle of benefit during the sacred month. The evening concluded with a communal supplication, Maghrib congregational prayer, and a shared iftar for all Muslim Insan BRILiaN members of Regional 13 Malang.
Senior management of BRI Regional 13 Malang and administrators of YBM BRILiaN SBO Malang were present throughout, ensuring the program ran smoothly.
Through this collaboration, YBM BRILiaN reaffirmed its mandate to manage and distribute philanthropic funds transparently and sustainably. In the spirit of Ramadan, the partnership serves as a reminder that true blessing is not only celebrated—it is shared.
