YBM BRILiaN Distributes Educational Aid Packages in Sampang and Surabaya
SURABAYA — The YBM BRILiaN Surabaya Regional Office (RO) has once again demonstrated its support for the continued education of children from low-income families. Learning supplies were distributed to students in two of BRI’s operational areas—the BRI Corporate University (Corpu) in Surabaya and the BRI Branch Office (BO) in Sampang—on Monday (October 19).
The handover ceremony was attended by Siti Kipdiyah, Head of Campus at BRI Corpu Surabaya; Zemroni, a member of the YBM BRILiaN Sampang BO Board; and Ramlan, Branch Office Head (BOH) of the Sampang BO, along with management staff. Unit leaders personally handed over the assistance to the beneficiary students.
Symbolic Distribution and Door-to-Door Outreach
The distribution of BRI’s zakat was carried out through two approaches. At BRI Corpu Surabaya, the aid was symbolically handed over together with the campus management team. Meanwhile, in the BRI Sampang Branch Office area, the team went directly to the homes of eligible recipients near the branch office and work units.
A total of 54 educational packages were distributed during this event, including 34 packages for the BRI Corpu Surabaya area and 20 packages for the BRI Sampang Branch Office area. Each package contained a backpack, a water bottle, a lunchbox, and a set of office stationery supplies (ATK).
Easing the Burden on Families and Encouraging a Passion for Learning
This initiative is designed to reduce the financial burden on parents in meeting their children’s school supply needs. The assistance provided is expected to motivate students in their pursuit of knowledge.
