Comprehensive Infrastructure Intervention to Meet Residents’
Needs The previous scarcity of water had been a major daily challenge for residents and hindered the worship activities of the mosque congregation. To address this challenge, YBM BRILiaN implemented an intervention by providing clean water facilities that serve up to 181 households.
The physical construction included an 83-meter-deep borehole, a 6-meter-tall water tower, and a 5,000-liter storage tank. This system is supported by an operational electrical installation and a 350-meter-long pipeline network to distribute water evenly. The entire infrastructure is now fully operational and ready for use by the local community.

Commitment to Facility Maintenance and Long-Term Benefits
The presence of this clean water facility has evoked a sense of emotion and gratitude from local government officials and the community. To ensure the facility functions optimally in the long term, residents are committed to establishing a self-managed system to maintain all the facilities they have received.
“We hope this clean water facility will bring long-term benefits. Its presence not only supports the health and sanitation of residents but also facilitates worship at the mosque,” explained Fitri Wahyuni, Secretary of the YBM BRILiaN RO Medan Board of Trustees.
YBM BRILiaN hopes that the distribution of zakat and infaq will continue to bring sustainable benefits. The organization is committed to delivering programs based on basic needs to promote the independence and overall well-being of the community.
