To Support School Needs, YBM BRILiaN Distributes Educational Kits and Financial Assistance to Orphans in Pekanbaru
PEKANBARU — The YBM BRILiaN Regional Office (RO) in Pekanbaru distributed educational kits and cash assistance to orphans in the Ar-Rahim Mosque community on Tuesday (October 20). Masrinur, Chair of the Ar-Rahim Mosque Board, was also present at the event. This collaboration stems from the history of cooperation between the YBM BRILiaN Pekanbaru RO and the mosque in the distribution of Ramadan aid packages.
Expanding the Reach of Aid Distribution
The distribution took place after the Isha prayer. The Chairman of the Ar-Rahim Mosque Board symbolically handed over the aid to the orphans in attendance.
YBM BRILiaN also ensured that children who were unable to attend still received aid. Together with the mosque management, the team visited the homes of the beneficiaries to personally deliver educational kits and financial assistance.
Bringing Joy to Orphans
The new school supplies brought joy to the beneficiaries. One of them was Rizky, who expressed his gratitude after receiving a new school bag.
“The backpack is great; I’m very grateful. Now I can use a new one,” said Rizky.
Through the distribution of zakat and infaq, YBM BRILiaN hopes to help meet the educational needs of orphaned children. This support is also part of the organization’s commitment to fostering social awareness and nurturing a generation that is intelligent, resilient, and of noble character.
